The second vintage of Jenkins Ranch Pinot Noir and it seems to get better each time we work with these grapes. Hints of the Pinot Perfume, we continue to pursue are already present and the bright berry notes laced with vanilla and spice make it an obvious choice for additional cellaring. We don't think it is necessary to wait, but drink now through 2039.

Located in the hills to the SW of Sebastopol on perfect Gold Ridge Loam soils the Jenkins Ranch is lovingly farmed by the master vineyardist Charlie Chenoweth. Deeply flavored and complex wines are the result of both site and the vineyard work. 

"The wine showed a medium ruby color. Cherry, blackberry, raspberry, currant, mossy earth and oak all arrived on the nose. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry and cola brought richness to the lush palate followed by notes of oak and whiffs of eucalyptus. The wine was medium-bodied and exhibited great length along with velvety tannins. It would pair very well with a seared duck breast topped with a black cherry gastrique."
